Kaplan job Institute and Lincoln Technical Institute can pay a huge selection of their previous students $2.3 million after being accused of utilizing recruiting that is unfair and inflating task placement figures, Attorney General Maura Healey said Thursday.
“We allege these schools that are for-profit hopeful pupils into signing up for their vocational programs by promising particular careers, but just left these with significant financial obligation,” Healey stated. “Students attempting to better their life through training are alternatively being kept economically ruined. These settlements will give you the relief these students deserve and steer clear of misleading practices that put taxpayer bucks in danger.”
